One thing I noticed when photographing Emma she had the abilty to change her facial pose. When she was relaxed she looked completely different, more herself, which I tried to encourage to do, as it made for a better image, and I think the difference can be seen.

Here are the some of the photographers I have drawn some influence from.

This image is from David Perry's portfolio

This image is from Gabriele Rigon. and was part of a series telling the story of a funeral.

This image is by James Christoher, as part of his advertising for the shoes.

This was by Christian Louboutin also as aprt of his advertising campaign for shoes and boots.

This image is by Kimberly Halverston.

This image is by Nikola Borissov

The above 2 images are by Reinfield Marass, and I like the black and white redition here. You need to visualise this prior to shooting.

These 2 images above evoke the same feeling as the above but in a different way.

Here are some shots of the day of the shoot, showing the basic set up and the location.

This shows the basic initial set up

This shows my role as assistant on the day

This shows me preparing to shoot

This shows the assistant waiting to move the lighting and I am instructing the model prior to shooting.

  2. Hi
Can you produce a comparison blog which looks at your intentions from the outset and how well you have realised you final images. What have you learnt, close the loop on what you do in a professional evaluation, do you images compare well to the research that you did.
Literally do a blog with your work and theirs together and pull them both about with appropriate critical analysis vocabulary.
